How to install our OPTB-X30 series terminal box?

.Installation Instruction

1. Preparation of Pre-operation

1.1  Check the terminal box type, cable item, and all components before installation

1.2  Keep all components dry and clean for installation.

1.3  Keep working environment clean (dry and no dust) and flat for installation.

1.4  Standard instruments and tools should be used during installing.

2. Operation of Optical Cable

2.1 Determine the length to cut ( about 100cm), and stripping length.

2.2 Cut the reinforced core, keep the reserved length about 4cm.


① Optical fiber should not be damaged.

② Cut the damaged fiber, and re-strip new fiber if there's an accident.

3.Installation Instruction

3.1 Install the adapter on the plate and screw up the fixing screw(Figure 1), and remove the screw in the splice tray



3.2 Put the optical splitter into the groove and connect with the adapters.

(Figure 4,5)



3.3 Relax the screw of reinforced core and remove the fixing clamp. 

3.4 Thread the stripped cable into terminal box,and protect the fiber cable with the foam strip. Tighten the cable with the fixing clamp,  tie aramid yarn around the reinforced core screw, then screw up the fixing screw. (Figure 7)



3.5 Coil the uncut optic fiber

Coil the uncut optic fiber on the bottom at the least radium more than 30mm., tie the fibers with the nylon ties tightly.  


3.6 Fiber Splicing

There are two ways for fiber splicing. 

(1)is that one of twelve fibers splices with the 1×8 PLC splitter. Here is about fiber splices with the 1×8 PLC splitter. 

(2) is that fibers directly splice with pigtails.

(1)Splice with the 1×8 PLC Splitter

①Put one optical fiber out of twelve fibers into the splice protective tube

②splice it with 1×8 PLC splitter and put the tubes which had been heat shrunk into groove.

③After that, coil the extra fiber to the bottom for storage.

Fasten the splice tray and screw up the fixing screw of splice tray tightly.




( 2 ) Splice with the pigtails

①Install the adapter and connect with the pigtails.

②Then, coil the pigtail in the bottom or in the splice tray( the least radium is more than 30mm)

③After that, put 12 optical fibers into the splice protective tubes separately, splice them one by one directly with pigtails.

④At last, connect other pigtails from the drop-cable entry ports with the other side of adapters.

3.7 Install the fast connector on site.

1 Thread the drop cable from the entrance.

2 Install the fast connector on site.

3 Connect the fast connector with adapters.


3.8 Seal the cable ports.

When the diameter of fiber cable is smaller than the diameter of the inlet/outlet port, the sealing tape should be used to enlarge the external diameter of fiber cable. Don't forget to block up ports with rubber plugs and fasten all the screws tightly.
