Cameroon and Gabon Sign Draft Cooperation Agreement on Fiber Optic Network Interconnection
The proposal for the signing of the memorandum of understanding establishes a legal framework for replacing interconnections between fiber optic networks and establishes a joint committee responsible for implementing the memorandum of understanding and all subsequent agreements.
According to reports, the previous Ministry of Telecommunications will reduce the cost by directly connecting the current respective optical fiber networks through land cables without the need to go through international submarine cables.
