In its press release, Nokia said that it will provide GPON solutions for Nepalese telecommunications company Subisu Cablenet, helping Subisu expand its network and reach new customers who can access "ultra-broadband" applications and services.

The Telecommunications Authority of Nepal (NTA) selected Subisu to establish an FTTH network for eight districts in the second province. The new network will provide digital TV, IPTV and high-speed broadband services up to 1 Gbps.
