Norway Tampnet Will Acquire 1,200 km Submarine Cable System Project
On August 25, according to foreign media reports, Norwegian communications service provider Tampnet said that the company will acquire a submarine cable system project in the Gulf of Mexico that is part of British Petroleum (BP). The submarine cable system is 746 miles in length (equivalent to 1,200 kilometers). The acquisition will help improve Tampnet's infrastructure in the Gulf of Mexico and increase its market position.
Tampnet CEO Per Helge Sensson said: “This is a very important milestone for Tampnet because it enhances our infrastructure in the Gulf of Mexico so that we can serve more customers.
