According to reports, this is known as an African fiber network that has been deployed for more than a decade and will cover 13 countries, connecting Cape Town to Cairo, Egypt, with a total length of more than 60,000 kilometers, connecting more than 660 cities and regions.

In July of this year, Liquid Telecom and Egypt Telecom signed a memorandum of understanding, in which Liquid will connect its network with Egypt Telecom's network through Sudan's new cross-border optical interconnect system.
