It is understood that the construction of this optical cable line supplements another route through Kariba to Zambia, thereby enhancing communication capabilities with neighboring countries.

Currently, TelOne operates a nationwide optical fiber backbone network covering Zimbabwe, with a total length of more than 4,000 kilometers, and is the main fixed-line telephone service provider in Zimbabwe.

TelOne said that the construction of the new optical fiber network will help further improve the quality of calls and telecommunications services, and improve the efficiency of network connections.
